There is a large, thriving worldwide Clan Maclean Association. The last Clan Gathering at Duart Castle was in 2007.

On Saturday 23rd June 2007 over 600 Macleans met at Duart Castle to honour their chief - Sir Lachlan Maclean, Bt., KCVO, of Duart and Morvern.
